SYSTEM ENGINEER
Bio-Merieux – Global System Support Department (GSS): participation to the creation of the Global System Support department (new department in charge to manage all technical activities from the Global Customer Service Department))
• Technical aspects :
o Provide 2nd level technical support to FSE when they are facing to an exotic dysfunction on immuno-assays systems (more than 60 000 units worldwide : VIDAS, QUATTRO, DA VINCI, VIDIA)
o Manage the cycle life of the VIDAS range ( Technical and software updates)
o Creation, update and dispatch of technical information (technical database on Global website): mandatory action required, technical retrofit or update, frequently asked questions.
o Interface with R&D department: to report/troubleshoot technical dysfunctions – to develop/check the curative action – inform and implementation survey of the solution.
• QA aspects:
o Complaint handling process: database management of the technical dysfunctions reported by FSE
o Monthly statistics (technical failure rates, spare parts consumption, number of intervention by range systems…)
o Provide technical expertise for QA and RA (regulatory affairs) when dysfunction has generated false results due to technical dysfunction (clinician can report event to AFSAPPS or FDA => expertise of the dysfunction and modification to implement on field so as to prevent it).
o Monthly conf call with subsidiary for a technical field back from the field ( reports send to R&D and QA departments)
• Marketing aspect:
o Technical vigilance about competitors and participation to European Congress (ability to provide relevant technical information to the marketing department)
o Report technical and software complaints so as to define technical evolution for the new products.
